 Quality & Performance
Here are some of the Quality programs practiced at L A Aluminum Casting Company:

Statistical Process Control (SPC):
Data collection to verify a process is under control and within the specification limits.

Requirements of Military Specification MIL-I-45208A:
Military Specification pertaining to the inspections and tests necessary to substantiate product conformance to drawings, specifications and contract requirements and to all inspections and tests required by the contract.

Process/Program Change Requests:
An internal program developed by L A Aluminum Casting Company to promote the philosophy of continuous improvement. These requests identify, implement and document changes to processes or tooling modifications. All our employees constantly strive to make recommendations to improve our processes.

Control and Calibration of Measuring Equipment MIL-STD-45662:
Military Specification to provide requirements for the establishment and maintenance of a calibration system to control the accuracy of measuring equipment, test equipment and measurement standards.

Inspection and Testing:
Receiving inspection, In-Process inspection/testing and Final inspection/testing are all used to verify conformance to our customer's specifications.

Quality Audits:
To determine the degree to which quality activities are being conducted and the related effectiveness of quality activities, areas of nonconformities, and action items.

Procedures/Work Instructions:
Documented procedures and instruction defining the manner of production and steps required for each task to ensure conformance.

Document and Data Control:
A system for the creation, publication, distribution, use and revision of all documents and data. This includes the quality manual, referenced procedures and work instructions and documents central to the production and distribution of product.

Quality Training:
Ongoing training related to quality systems and quality related information.

Contract Review:
A documented procedure for creating, coordinating and reviewing customer contracts. To ensure customer requirements are clearly documented, understood and within L A Aluminums capabilities.

Corrective Action:
Procedures for implementing corrective action. They detail steps for detecting the causes of nonconformance, formulating corrective actions, and implementing the actions. It effectively handles customer complaints and initiates investigation of the cause of nonconformance.

Vendor Approval Process:
Vendors must demonstrate their capability to furnish product that meets all the specifications, drawings, and purchase documents. This could include on-site evaluations of vendors, evaluation of product samples and past performance. Records of acceptable subcontractors are maintained.

Quality Records:
Procedures for identifying, collecting, indexing, accessing, filing, storing, maintaining, and disposing of quality records. Quality records (hard copies, computer files, or any other forms of media) must be maintained to demonstrate that a product is in conformance to specified requirements.
