L A ALUMINUM CASTING COMPANY TO PARTICIPATE IN OVER $400,000,000 IN FEDERAL CONTRACTS

L A Aluminum Casting Company in Hayden, Idaho is participating in two multi-million dollar government contracts awarded recently. The first contract is for towable tank fittings being used by the military for transporting water and fuel over in Iraq. These fittings are used at each end of a fuel bladder which can be transported behind a jeep. The tanks carry 3000 to 5000 lbs. of fuel each.
The other contract is a partnership between L A Aluminum Casting Company and Berg Integrated Systems in Plummer, ID. L A Aluminum has already delivered the first prototypes for the metal fittings on Berg Integrated System's 210,000 gallon fuel tanks. The Berg fuel bladders are also being used in Iraq. The contract award is projected to be over $400,000,000 for a 5 year period.
Marketing Manager, Michelle Richter said, "This is excellent work for us. It suits our core business strategies. We have been making similar castings for over 60 years and we will be able to easily implement the growth plan we had scheduled for this year."
The recent orders have increased L A Aluminum's annual sales projections by 25%. The additional work will be absorbed by the current work-force, since the addition of new furnaces and equipment have already increased productivity.

They are a full-service foundry and CNC machine shop with 4th axis machining capabilities. L A Aluminum has always made castings for the military. They also make castings for a variety of industries, including wind power turbines, the nuclear industry, and dental equipment.
