| | NEW CNC MACHINE GUARANTEES QUICKER PRODUCTION
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE L A Aluminum Casting Company Contact: Michelle Richter 208-772-3201
L A Aluminum Casting Company has recently expanded the shop’s machining capacity by adding another CNC machine.
The machine, which is the Fadal VMC-4020 model, gives L A Aluminum a total of seven CNC machines in the plant. The Fadal is already in operation and will greatly help L A Aluminum machine products at a quicker rate.
"Due to a huge increase in customer orders, it seemed as if our machines were constantly occupied. With this addition, we will be able to move a higher volume of work through the plant at a steady rate," said Chris Nicol, plant manager.
The company is designed to offer it’s nationwide customers a single-source manufacturer. Meaning a customer can be provided with tooling, casting and machining at L A Aluminum’s facility, as opposed to shipping the product to several different companies for completion. "Because of the order volume increases, we were beginning to outsource for more machining capability. Now we can ensure the products are finished in our plant, and we will no longer have to wait on other vendors," said Nicol.
L A Aluminum has future plans for adding more equipment and modifying existing equipment. "Along with an increased demand for castings, companies are also being urged to keep their business in the United States. To better meet these needs, we are working toward more production capacity in all aspects of our business," said Nicol.
L A Aluminum Casting has been an established permanent mold aluminum casting manufacturer in Hayden Lake, Idaho since 1972. Its founder, Robert Oswald Sr. and his wife, Helen Oswald moved the company from its quarters in Southern California where it started in 1947.
The company has the ability to produce a total aluminum melting capacity of more than 2,000 pounds an hour and provides extensive machining capabilities for permanent mold aluminum cast products.
